The Model — What Is a League Franchise Operator?
Gym League Global scales the way grassroots sport has always scaled — nationally recognised, locally run. Think Football Australia: a national federation and brand, with each region run by people who know that region, its gyms, and its community.
As a League Franchise Operator, you "own" the competition in your region. You're the person gyms come to when they want to get involved, you build the local schedule, and you're the face of GLG on the ground — while GLG HQ provides the platform, the brand, the scoring engine, and national visibility.
You don't need to be a professional sports administrator. If you have relationships in the fitness community, genuine organisational drive, and you want to build something in your area, that's the core of what we're looking for.
How to Apply
- Head to Apply to Run a Region and tell us which region you're proposing and why you're the right person to run it.
- GLG HQ reviews every application — we're looking for genuine local connections (existing relationships with gyms, run clubs, or fitness communities), organisational capability, and alignment with how GLG competes and communicates.
- Once approved, you get full League Operator access — your own dashboard to onboard gyms and manage your region's season.
Applications are reviewed by GLG HQ directly; you'll hear back with a decision or follow-up questions rather than being left waiting indefinitely.
Onboarding Gyms in Your Region
Your primary job early on is simple: get enough gyms in your area to field a competitive season. Practically, that means:
- Identify your target gyms. CrossFit boxes, F45/BFT-style studios, run clubs, and independent training crews are all fair game — anywhere with a group of people who train together.
- Share the Gym Operator Guide directly — it answers the setup, cost, and match-day questions gyms will have before you even get asked.
- Aim for enough teams to make a real season. Four teams gives you a clean six-week round robin (everyone plays everyone once) — that's the benchmark for a strong opening season in a new region.
Branding & Collateral
You're representing the national GLG brand locally, so consistency matters — but you're not starting from scratch. GLG HQ provides:
- The full GLG brand guidelines (colours, typography, logo usage) so anything you produce locally looks unmistakably GLG.
- Ready-to-use templates for invites, social posts, and event signage that you can localise with your region's name and team details.
- Your region's page on the national GLG website, listing your teams, schedule, and live leaderboard automatically.
Reach out to GLG HQ once approved for direct access to the current brand asset pack.
Running Your Season
Once your gyms are onboarded, GLG HQ's platform handles the heavy lifting:
- Scheduling — a 6-week round robin is generated automatically once your teams are confirmed.
- Scoring — the platform's scoring engine calculates every result the moment a gym enters it, so you never have to manually tally a ladder.
- Live standings — your region's public page always reflects the current table, no admin required from you.
Your ongoing role is community and quality: making sure match days run smoothly, gyms are entering results promptly, and the standard of competition in your region reflects well on the GLG name.
